A typhoon hit our island and brought heavy rain and very strong winds. As a result, the power went out, so we had to use flashlights to find our way around the house. It was the most serious typhoon I had ever experienced. I hope my friends and family are all safe. I also pray that this violent storm will not cause flooding or damage to property.
Today was my first day at work. My supervisor left me by myself after he explained my job responsibilities and duties to me. I realized that I didn't fully understand what I was supposed to do. Instead of making mistakes, I decided to ask the coworkers around me for help. Fortunately, they were all very friendly. I believe that given some time, I will be able to handle my job alone.
